Like many terms, the ãqueerä label can be used in both celebratory and derogatory manners. I include this terminology as a testimony to the fact that words are just words. The importance we attach to them is purely subjective, and the context in which they are used accounts solely for their true meaning. We do not fear words, but the implicit actions behind their use.
